Bonomi 25

The Italian company Aeronautica Bonomi was established in the late 1920s by Vittorio Bonomi. One of the firm’s very first projects was the Bonomi 25 light aircraft, designed by engineer Ugo Abate.

The Genesis of the Bonomi 25

The aircraft, which took to the air in the spring of 1929, was a two-seater braced high-wing monoplane. Its powerplant options included a 25 hp Anzani engine or a 34 hp ABC Scorpion. There were also plans to equip the aircraft with a more powerful 80 hp engine, but it is unknown if these plans were ever realized.

Design and Powerplant

The project did not progress beyond testing. Following this, Vittorio Bonomi decided to focus exclusively on creating gliders.
