Innovative Development and Design
In 1913, Gabriel Borel, in collaboration with engineer Antoine Odier, developed and built a multipurpose military aircraft, designated the Borel Militaire. It was a two-seater monoplane, equipped with a 50 hp Gnome engine.
Versatile Military Capabilities
This aircraft could be used for reconnaissance, observation, and training roles. It was even envisioned to operate as an enemy balloon fighter. It remained a single prototype.
