The BRJ-X is a medium-haul passenger aircraft designed for regional airlines, developed by the Canadian company Bombardier Aerospace. This model represents an entirely new development, expanding Bombardier’s successful line of regional passenger aircraft.

The aircraft was first presented to the public at the prestigious Farnborough Air Show in 1998. Design and development work on the aircraft was successfully completed in September 1999, marking a significant milestone in its creation.
Key Development Milestones
Construction of the first BRJ-X prototype was scheduled for mid-2002, with its certification anticipated in 2003. Furthermore, a larger variant, the BRJ-X-110, was planned for release one year after the base model’s certification, further expanding its capabilities and reach.
