Innovative Design Features

The aircraft, which was developed based on the C.500, featured separate comfortable passenger seats, three large portholes on each side, and a very practical windshield.

The C.520 boasted an all-metal construction, which provided it with additional strength, thereby making its operation very reliable and practical. An increased fuel capacity allowed the aircraft to undertake longer flights.

A Prototype’s Enduring Legacy

The Caudron C.520 Simoun VI did not enter series production, remaining as a single example (F-ANCC). Nevertheless, its further refinement led to the development of an entire successful family of aircraft, the Caudron C.630 Simoun.
