Breguet 2: Design and Specifications
The Breguet 2 was the second aircraft developed by Louis Breguet. Built in late 1909, this single-seat wooden biplane featured a triangular-section fuselage. It was powered by an eight-cylinder Renault engine, delivering 55 hp (41 kW).
Maiden Flight and Project Evolution
The aircraft’s maiden flight occurred on January 5, 1910. On January 16, Breguet successfully flew it for one and a half kilometers. Subsequently, this project was abandoned in favor of the more advanced Breguet III, concluding its brief but significant early aviation career.
