Development and Design of the Ca.120
In 1933, Aeronautica Caproni built the Ca.120 medium bomber. It was a two-seat, high-wing monoplane of mixed construction. The aircraft was powered by three twelve-cylinder V-type Isotta Fraschini XIRC engines, each delivering 750 hp.
Armament and Fate
Armament was not installed on the first prototype of the Ca.120. Nevertheless, plans included three firing points with 7.7-mm machine guns, located on top and on the sides of the fuselage. The aircraft did not generate military interest and consequently remained at the prototype level, never entering service.
